Hi. I’m Lori. What a blessing it is to be part of the BridgeWay team. The middle of three sisters, I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Since I love travel and adventure, several years ago I lived in Rome, Italy and fell in love with the Italian language and culture. Most recently, the Chicago area was my home while I served on staff at a large Christian church in the SW suburbs. Moving to the Indy area has been a great transition for me and allows me to be closer to my extended family.
True confessions…I’m a middle child. Yes, I always had to sit in the middle in the back seat of the car while growing up…never got a window seat. Despite that, (or maybe because of it) my sisters, Lisa and Leigh, are not only sisters but also dear friends. Praise God for the gift of sisters! I am blessed with two nieces (who are grown adults and have families of their own) and two nephews who call me “AL” for “Aunt Lori.” What a joy they are to me! My little mamma (affectionately nick-named Margie Mooshu) lives with my younger sister in northern Kentucky. So far in life, I’ve not yet married, but, being the eternal optimist, I continue to hope that God will bring a godly and adventurous husband my way in the future.
My life mission statement is “To influence others to walk with Christ.” At age 20 I made a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ and live my life for him. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Because of my love for God, my heart’s desire is to help others to find a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ…especially children. I believe that ministry to children is the calling for which God has uniquely gifted me. Connecting with children and loving them is something that has always come easily to me. Although I’ve matured as I’ve grown older, I’m still a kid at heart and enjoy being a part of their world and having them in mine. By God’s grace, my love for children has been contagious over the years and has inspired others to see the value of building a strong spiritual foundation in children’s lives.
