Thanks for your interest in baptism! This a sign of your heart and willingness to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. We have worked hard to put the concepts of baptism into language that is understandable for a student and made the process clear. Here at BridgeWay, we have certain steps to be baptized. This isn't a process to do alone and it's not an assignment. Throughout the Bible we see the practice of baptism as obedience to God, as a sign of inward new life, and turning from sin. If this is something that your student is demonstrating and interested in, we are excited to celebrate with you!
The Process:
- Our teaching of baptism is called "The 4.S's" and it is available for download HERE or from Kerrie in the student ministry office .
- As a family, please read and discuss the 4.S passages.
- Begin to practice saying out loud (!) why you want to be baptized.
- Set up a meeting with Josh to start writing your story.
- Get baptized!
