Welcome to BridgeKids Walkers
These little ones are just learning to walk and talk. They are curious and love to explore the world around them. We are committed to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of your child while in our care. Simple Bible stories, active play and loving interaction is what your child will experience this class.
What To Expect
On your first visit at the Walkers class, you will be asked to fill out a Visitor Information Card that helps us get to know your child and their needs. A loving caregiver will warmly receive your child and assist them in getting acquainted to their new environment. If your child is anxious about separating from you, allow them to stay in class for 15 minutes while you go to church. Walker caregivers are experienced in helping children feel at home while you attend the service. These people play a very important role in helping your child develop trust by reminding them that God loves them, mommy and daddy love them and they will return to get them after church. If however, your child isn't able to settle down and feel comfortable, we will notify you immediately.
What to Bring
When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:
- A disposable diaper (no cloth diapers, please).
- A complete change of clothes.
- A bottle/cup of milk, formula, juice or water.
- A pacifier, if needed.
Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippee cups) with your child's first and last name. Sharpie markers and labels are available at the entrance to the Walker classroom.
Snack Time
We do have snack time in the Walkers. Snack choices are limited to animal crackers and goldfish crackers. If your child has an allergy or special dietary needs, for their health and safety, we ask that you bring a snack for them when they come to class.
If Your Child Needs You:
When you drop off your child at the Walkers, you will receive a numbered security tag which matches the one we place on your child. If your child needs you during the service, that number will be displayed on a digital pager display board in the Auditorium. If your number is paged, please come to the Walker classroom.
