BridgeWay's Summer

Summer is a funny time at churches.  It is a season of the year when most people assume that the church relaxes, put the messages and programs on cruise control, and waits for fall to pick the energy back up.

Actually, here at BridgeWay, summer is an incredibly exciting time- we welcomed back our Nicuragua and Mexico mission trip teams; we have a justice project that will connect with over 100 families—using “Back to School” bags (socks, underwear, pajamas for local families that would not make these objects a priority); we are teaching through Revelation… let’s see that on cruise control!

And we have seen the number of visitors and new families here at jump.  Every week we invite people to fill out welcome cards and follow up with multiple new families.  When we make that time to listen and welcome folks- we remember that people want to be known.

I grew up in a church that was so small, if you were new… the whole church new.  Later, I worked at a church that asked… told!... visitors to stand up.

As a staff at BridgeWay, we anticipate that as a community—you are taking it on yourself to welcome those who you don’t know. Asking a question like: how long have you been at BWay? And looking to connect visitor with people you know here in are church are the ways new families become a part of our community.

Some  of our BridgeWay values are:

            Intentionality- we are witnesses

Community- we are a unified body

            Authenticity- geniuine…

If you’d like to learn more, hear BWay’s story, or have a chance to talk with an elder or  pastor- start at our TASTE OF BWAY, August 1st during second service in the annex.

On the slat board you can grab a “WHO WE ARE; WHAT WE BELIEVE”, or feel free to contact the office and we’d love to meet with you to hear what God is up to in your life!
