Small groups carry out the mission statement of Life Change at BridgeWay Community Church. If you have been attending BridgeWay (or any church), but are not involved in a small group, you're missing out on some of the best part of church. We were not made to do life alone. Life change happens when you share your story, hear someone else’s story, and journey together in authentic relationships.
Here is what you will experience when you join a small group at BridgeWay.
- You will form new friendships and you will be encouraged to take the next step toward Christ.
- You'll get help discovering your spiritual gifts and discussing Biblical truths.
- You'll be given opportunities to care for one another in the group and in the community.
Life change is about momentum, and what you experience in a small group — the steps you take living authentically in community, will over time, lead to life change.
What happens in a small group?
Most groups meet weekly or every other week. There is a time for socializing, discussion, sharing "real life issues," prayer, and taking care of needs. Each of our small groups is unique. Some are centered on prayer or Bible study, others are focused on building spiritual friendships, and still others enjoy doing something fun together. Once you join a group, we recommend you try it for six meetings. If the group is not a fit, contact our small group coordinator, and we can find another group for you.
